Dare to show the world what's in your bag? In summer 2013, clear bags have made its way to the runway. A bevy of designers such as Marc Jacob, Chanel, Prada, Gucci and Burberry have showcased these bags as key trends this summer. Some can be worn formally like the Burberry and Gucci clear clutch, while others have eye-catching colours appropriate for summer.
I am definitely in for these clear bags, they seem like an odd trend but I find them rather cute. They are something you have to watch out for and I'm sure they will be more visible in the streets.
Ladies, it's time to get toned up and start your abdominal workout! Midriffs are coming in full force for spring/summer 2013. The exposed midriff are best with high waisted shorts, A-line skirts or even trousers. A cover up in sheer fabric or a structured jacket make the look more modest.

Things are blooming on the runway this spring/summer 2013, designers are inspired by florals as they take on centre stage. Florals are not only appropriate for this season, but designers are presenting them in various categories: dresses, trousers, skirts etc.
Overalls are definitely making a come back this spring/summer 2013. This season, they appear on different styles: pants, shorts and even on dresses. I'm glad I have kept these cute overall shorts from Talula since who knows how long? (I believe it's been 8-9 years now).
I purchased these Talula Overall Shorts from Aritzia. If you happen to be in Vancouver, Toronto, Edmonton or Calgary in Canada, don't hesitate to drop by Aritzia or check out their online shopping website (click here).
Are you looking for a travel bag that carries a ton of your travel essentials? Then look no further! This large Le Pliage tote bag is the perfect travel piece. It is made out of ultra-light nylon fabric (so easy to clean) and stunningly trimmed in Russian leather. Le Pliage comes in a variety of colours and sizes such as pink, dark red, blue, yellow, beige, etc.
I first discovered these casual beauties on a trip to Asia about two years ago. They were literally all over the streets, malls and beaches in the Philippines. I have to say, I was very impressed on how these bags were constructed; I especially LOVE the fact that they are not only extremely light-weight but I could stuff anything in them! My trip to Europe was made easy as well because I was able to fit my sweater in it (I hate to carry outerwear when the weather gets warmer).
I bought my mom a beige coloured Le Pliage tote bag from Paris and since it was purchased there, I got a really good deal for it. However, the pink colour piece was purchased in Asia so I paid a lot more to it.
Personally, I am in for these bags as travel companions.... Check them out, you won't be disappointed!
When you are done using them, you can conveniently fold them up and stash them in your luggage. :)
Skull pattern is becoming more evident as a fashion key trend in 2013. They appear on tops, skirts, trousers, scarfs and in bracelets. They can be worn in a more feminine and modern way; and some in a more goth-like style.
For this look, I wanted to highlight the skull prints on this High Low Skull Pattern Skirt from H & M by pairing it with a simple, light coloured Knitted Sweater from Aeropostale. I finished the look with a pair of Nine West ankle boots.
Peplums seem to pop in and out of fashion every few decades. The trend was big in the 80's and re-surfaced back in the Spring/Summer 2012. This season, the trend has been visible in Vancouver (it would be great if we catch up on the trends. LOL); it appears on everything: dresses, skirts, blazers, trousers and tops. They come in an assortment of sizes and styles; feminine touch to it such as ruffled and frilly makes it a romantic, feminine look, while the others are more sculpted and architectural.
This key trend is definitely a piece you got to have in your closet; whether it may be a dramatic peplum that makes a huge statement or a subtle casual style.
The runway had absolutely take notice Celine's classic box bag and luggage tote in the fall 2011 and still continues to take centre stage this Spring 2013 season. The box bag had taken this season's bag-loving world by storm. These chic beauties come in an assortment of styles and sizes, vivid colours and interesting details.
Square shape spring bags that feature high shine metal trims; leopard prints and yellow folder over flap are some interesting pieces. These chic beauties are definitely popular amongst famous celebrities like Gwen Stefani, Emma Stone and Kate Bosworth. And I am sure they will be more visible out in the streets.
