"Almost Victorian"

One of the spring trends that you need to be on the look out for is the Victorian trend.  High necklines, bows, puffy big sleeves and ruffles are some of the key elements of the said trend.

As soon as I saw this top, I was immediately in love with it!  I've always been into lighter, flowy and sheer fabrics.  The voluminous sleeves are my favourite part of the top.  It's floral fabric is a great addition to the perfect spring top.  I downplayed the look with distressed denim and over-the-knee-high suede/leather boots.

Rips & Layers

Cooler weather like this calls for layers, layers, layers!  It totally adds an extra oomph to any outfit, I particularly like to layer sheer fabric tops dress shirts under crop tops or sweaters.  Layering an outfit this way is a great way of keeping your outfit sophisticated and chic. To finish, I added some ankle boots and ripped jeans for that cool and grungy feel.

Winter Wonderland

It's been a while since the last time I blogged; hence, my blog is somewhat neglected.  A typical day for me would consist of: work, cook, meal prep and work out-- then repeat.  I wish I had all the time in the world to include blogging as well. *sigh

Anyway, here are some recent pictures I've taken in this cold winter wonder land!

Vintage Shorts

Summer is all about bare legs for me... I love to hunt for the best shorts or skirts.  I couldn't be happier than to find these vintage pair from Aritzia.  I mean, who doesn't love a great style and a good sale?! I got these pair last summer and over the year I love how they retain its vintage look.

Trend Alert: Ripped Jeans

Been obsessing over ripped jeans for a long time now.  The hardest part though is finding the right fit and the right amount of rips.  I particularly have a hard time finding a good pair that doesn't stretch out too much as well as finding a pair that fits to a tea.

I love these pair I found from American Eagle... the amount of rips are enough for me.  The cropped length is perfect for summer time too.

This is my first time doing an indoor photoshoot.... I have to admit I like the convenience it offers; for instance, I can just change clothes fast and not look for a change room... and i'm not out in the freezing cold! lol
