Sweater Weather

Wearing jackets has to be my least favourite piece to wear.  Number one: It feels restricting and number two: I get hot too fast!  I would prefer a sweater or any light jackets if I have to; even if it means I have to freeze my butt off!  Today was an exception though, luckily, Vancouver weather has been nice to us lately...

It's good to invest in a good sweater like this one from Talula by Aritzia.  This is such a versatile piece to own in your closet.  You can either dress it up or dress it down.  I chose to style it casually for this post and greys tones to keep up with the subdued colour scheme.  I finished the outfit with some leopard slip-ons for some punch!

One Sweater, Two Ways

I love the versatility this Gentlefawn sweater offers.  I presented for you two ways to wear this sweater...

Outfit One:

I chose to wear the sweater with a dress and over the knee boots to achieve that cool casual vibe look.  Good look for the cool summer weather in Vancouver.  I'd wear this outfit to a brunch or when I hang out with my gf's in the day time.

Outfit Details:

Dress by Brandy Melville
Boots from Steve Madden
Louis Vuitton purse
Ray Ban aviator sunglasses

Outfit Two:

I chose to wear the sweater with a romper, this would be a good outfit to wear for a night out.  I chose this romper because of its vibrant colour; totally perfect for summer night out in the city!

Taiwan Diary: I Made It To Taichung!

I had the privilege to be the maid of honour for a wedding in Taiwan... and wouldn't pass up the opportunity to travel the country.  I've always wanted to travel; in fact, my dream job growing up was to become a flight attendant. :)

I knew the weather would be equivalent to summer in Vancouver, so I mainly packed summer/spring clothes.

This is what I changed into as soon as I arrived in Taichung, Taiwan....

We went straight to the mall at Taichung city to do a little shopping.... :)

Shoes, jean jacket & skirt from Zara
T-shirt from Giordano

Then... we ended to Feng Yuen night market to try out some different foods.  Yum! food is awesome and couldn't believe how massive the night market was.

Here are my top picks of night market foods:

Trend Alert: Wedge Heels

I have been into army green coloured pieces lately.  I love this button down shirt from American Eagle; I swear I wear it with almost anything.  This has to be my favourite piece at the moment.  I chose these bright red short as an accent piece.

These gotta be the coolest and trendy shoes I own.  I love the detail studs on the shoes and its wedge heels.  Wedge heels have gone full force in the fall season; the look allows you to stay comfy yet trendy.

The Last Days of Summer

I wanted to take advantage of the last week of sunshine in Vancouver so I put together a casual wear that is appropriate.  I'm a little bummed out that I have to say good bye to the wonderful sunny days we've been experiencing this summer.  On a positive note though, it is exciting to dress up in the fall; I love to be able to layer clothes and adding some fun accessories like scarves, beanies, etc.

My Paprika Is Hotter Than Yours

Shopping online is definitely a convenient way to shop but the waiting game is another story.  For weeks of waiting, waiting and waiting...Finally my 'Love of London Knit Bodycon' skirt from Free People which I particularly love the fitted silhouette and beautifully draped detailing at last made it to my mailbox.  I was like a little kid at a candy store excitedly and eagerly waiting for a free box of candies.  I guess after all that waiting, I gotta say it was all worth it.  Free People did a good job on this skirt.  I've always been drawn to asymmetrical pieces and drape fabrics.   Asymmetrical pieces possess the same qualities as architectural structures.  Drape fabrics are great in warmer season and they're good for mobility.

My gf's wedding was 2 weeks ago and I decided to wear this outfit.  I would usually wear a dress at a wedding but instead I chose to be different this time.  :)

I love this top to pieces!  It's ultra feminine with it's lace details.  Such a great top that goes well with the modern skirt.

I've been obsessing over lace-up heels since last summer that I can't get enough of them!!!!

P.S.  I hope everyone had an awesome weekend.  I am feeling under the weather since this morning, I hope I feel better soon.  Yes, It's that time of the year and it sucks soooo bad!

Fun in the Gondola

Dress down this lace skirt from Abercrombie & Fitch by styling it with this chambray top from Zara (click here to view ombre chambray post) and sleeveless top from Wilfred for a relaxing day at the park or shopping in downtown.  Pairing it with  flats or in this case heels for a more dressy look.  I added some bangles for a more playful look.

Purse from Louis Vuitton

Shoes from Nine West
